The most serious problem facing the U.S. is we could possibly have an inflation which would lead to a lot of people without food and homes.

Rome Compared to U.S.

I don't think that the U.S. will have the same problems as the Romans did because for one we have a very loyal army and have always been loyal to our country. Also there are only a couple crazy people in the U.S. that waste too much money on parties, and drink until they are ill, plus they went to the theatre to watch men kill each other with no mercy.  The U.S.has a very good medical system so there is almost no way that we can have as bad of health as some of the people in Rome.  It is possible though for the U.S. to have an inflation so that we might have in common with the Romans, but it took a lot mor then just an inflation to cause the fall of Rome.

Fall of the Roman Empire

Try to put the following statements in correct order!

7. Pressured by the Huns, Germanic Tribes abandon their land and attempt to settle on Roman lands.

3. Trying to solve the problems Emperors begin to limit peoples freedom.

5. As less people want to join the army Rome hires mercenaries, mainly from Germanic tribes, to protect the borders of the Roman Empire.

1. Diocletian and later Constantine split the Empire in two to try and make it more manageable.  Both chose to rule from the East half.

10. Rome falls to German invaders in 476 AD, ending the Western Roman Empire.  The Eastern half will survive and become known as the Byzantine Empire.

4. Because of limits and restrictions on personal freedom less people support the Empire.  This is especially true for the army as fewer and fewer Romans are willing to join.

9. The Germanic tribes could easily invade Rome.

2. Without the Emperor in the Western half of the Empire, the West half of the Roman Empire declines in importance.

6. The Huns migrated into Europe and begin taking land from the Germanic tribes.

8. The German mercenaries paid to guard Rome’s frontiers allow other Germans to pass through.

Rome fell because their soldiers became less loyal to Rome.  Also the cost of metal went up in Rome so making swords for their soldiers costed more than usual.  In 476 A.D. Germani invaders destroyed Rome and removed emperor

Fall of Roman Empire

2. Rome's dropping economy was a big reason why they were such a big target to get conquered, the metal they used to make swords for their army was now a lot of money that they couldn't afford anymore.
3. Their new emperors had become to commanding and the people of Rome started to get annoyed by that so they were mad.
4. Diocletian succeeded so well because he was a old military leader so he made sure his army was good so they wouldn't get conquered when he was in power.
8. The eastern half of Rome stayed alive because they were ruled by Caesar and he was probably one of the best leaders ever.
